As per published Panama Maritime Authority circulars in force renewals and upgrade of rank of competency is possible for those Deck and Engine officers who’s already possess Panama COC and fulfil requirements. The process of issuance of the Upgraded Panama COC with The Panama Maritime Authority is gradual. First the application will be entered together with required documents in order to be evaluated and to be issued a Letter of eligibility for the Upgrade of rank by The Panama Maritime Authority. PMA government fees will apply in the amount of 500.00 USD. Once issued eligibility letter, upgradation training course and course for assessment of competences will be held in the PMA approved maritime training center. Upon completion of the course and issuance of Upgradation certification, upgraded Panama COC will be issued.
